All learners attending Valley College have a Statement of Special Educational Needs or an Educational Healthcare Plan. Please see “Admissions Policy” for more details.
Unfortunately, due to the current building arrangements and facilities available to Valley College, it is not currently possible to meet the needs of learners with the following daily requirements:
- Provision of a positioning timetable;
- Access to hoisted transfers;
- Access to a largely sensory curriculum.
- Conduct management requiring physical intervention
- Complex medical needs
However, in future it is hoped that the scope of Valley College provision can be widened and good practice can be shared with other local providers to enhance local college provision across Lancashire.
If you want to apply for a place at Valley College for your young person the process is different to main stream college provisions.
Please contact your local Inclusion Team for information on applying for a place at Valley College. More information on Lancashire's SEND placement process can be found here
