Cross-curricular session

Look at the lockdown diary emailed and sent out to you. Have a go at completing some of these pages. This will be a great reminder in the future of what we have all been through during his pandemic.

Community Based Projects- Working in a Care Home/The Elderly.

During this topic we would normally have been visiting care homes and completing work experience. During these sessions you would have been completing various skills within the care home.

Please complete these skills in your own home instead:

  • Make some buns (see recipe attached)
  • Do some gardening or plant a bulb
  • Make the bed
  • Make a cup of tea/coffee
  • Fold/hang some items of clothing.

Health & Wellbeing

Can you please look at the following lesson about relaxing.

The topic this term is who am I and what do I enjoy. As part of this topic I have sent you four talking points cards to talk about.

I would like you to discuss the different topics and give me some feedback to their responses. As part of the health and well-being topic if you could do one of the activities such as cycling or walking with your learner that would be brilliant.

Sport & Leisure

VIRTUAL SESSION with Eileen

(please have your sport kit on and have enough space to move!!)

Community Engagement – Communication

Please look at this Oak Academy session. You will be looking at who helps support you in the community regarding health. Follow the instructions in the slides.

Tutorials

I would like all learners to attend the tutorial session each morning at 9:30am. It is a good session for all learners to see all other learners and staff and is also helpful for advocates as I go through the days sessions and resources.

Please see the daily link emailed to yourself to access these tutorial sessions.

Information

If you can take pictures of your learner completing these activities and email me the pictures I would be really grateful.

I hope you are all doing well. We are all missing you.
