St George's Day - Functional Numeracy & Independent Life Skills
PACE 4 learners have celebrated St George’s Day by completing activities that build on problem-solving, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail. Learners had the opportunity to choose recipes for an afternoon tea which consisted of sandwiches, scones, fruit flapjack, and mini-Victoria sponge cakes. Learners wrote a shopping list required for the recipe and had the opportunity to shop for ingredients within a local supermarket while implementing Functional Numeracy and using speaking and listening skills. During their Independent Life Skills session learners followed and completed the recipes and enjoyed a delicious outcome.
